The raw material
Polycarbonate (PC)
is a glass-clear thermoplastic.
Advantages
• Temperature stability from – 40 to +115oC
• Constant high impact resistance within these temperatures
• Excellent longevity through UV-protection |

We uses the
patented Co-extrusion method. In this procedure, a high
concentrated UV protective layer is homogenously melted
onto the PC base material during production.
This has the following advantages : |

• No adhesive
problems of the UV protective layer
• UV layer has same temperature characteristics as
PC base material
• No limitation of the impact resistance
• This allows for thermal forming and smaller
cold bending radii. Higher resistance against
environmental stress and ageing. |

Guarantee |

Features in
external applications
With UV-protective layer, which is located on the
outer side plates, and the individual plates with
mutual protection, provides the best protection impact
of weather and longer lifetime |
|
According to guarantee
declaration, we gives a limited guarantee of 10 years
for co-extruded products against yellowing, age and
hail.
Hailstorm (up to 20 mm O and starting from a sheet weight
of 1,9 kg/m2). The HI (High-Impact) quality has an unlimited
hail guarantee, regardless of hailstone size and intensity
(according to our guarantee).

Radar ray
reflection |
|
Owing to the high
UV stabilisation secured by the co-extruded UV protective
layer, 100 % of the UV transmission up to 380 Nm is
stopped. This can be
an important factor for UV sensitive products. |

Near radar
stations (e.g. airports), it is important not to have
any influence through building elements. Due to expert
opinion, the HF-Q-products have no influence on the
reflection and do not disturb the radar activity. |

Due to the
multi walls of the panel, a U-value of up to 1,20 W/m2K
can be achieved. |
Impact and breakage characteristics
|
|
Colours |
| |
PC products are
practically unbreakable even against stones, ball impact
etc. The thicker the sheets
are (4 - 40 mm), the higher is the resistance.
Polycarbonate is 200 x stronger than glass! |

The common
colours are :
• Clear for multi-wall-sheets with high transparency.
• Clear with Frozen Structure for panels with high and
light diffusing transparency. In addition, the surface
is more resistant to scratches.
• OPAL-ANTIBLIND with a light diffusing pigment for
optimal non-blinding nature light.
• BRONZE – brown transparent for increased sun protection.
• Atlantic Green – the glass effect colour
• Pacific Blue – trend setting blue colour
• White/Opaque – No light transmission
• Special colours – according to RAL, minimum quantity

PC
elements do not splinter or crumble and therefore hinder
injury through splinters. They correspond to the new

Construction length records: |
Standard length
is 6m and 7m. In case the request is greater
(possibility of up to 21m), the next order with a specific
delivery deadline. |

We offer complete accessory to connect the PC-boards.
Aluminum
profile jointing and end, and EPDM rubber gaskets. |

According
to the requirements and mounting areas,
panels have the following characteristics :
• Co-extruded LONGLIFE-quality on one side.
• RODALIFE-quality on both sides.
• Frozen-structure (standard for panels) with a light
breaking structure; not sensitive to scratches.
• HI-quality through a special production process
allows for highest security. |

Fire rating |
| |
The burning
temperature of PC is with 450°C quite high.
Should a fire occur, some smoke will appear and only
a slight amount of toxic gases will develop.
Product and material configuration are classified according
to DIN 4102 as
B 1 high flammable resistant not burning drip or burning
drip
B 2 normal flammable not burning drip
Please ask for the fire certificates if needed. |

| Packaging |
Handling:
|
Only
upon request, panels are delivered with protective foil.
Usually, 4-6 panels (according to their length) are
packed in a plastic sleeve which is recyclable.
The panels should be unpacked shortly before mounting
so that the chambers do not become dirty if they have
not been sealed with alu tape in our factory (surcharge).
Remove protective film during mounting (recyclable).
The multi-wall-sheets have protection film on both sides
and are delivered on pallets with a maximum weight of
1.000 kg. The co-extruded weather side has a printed
or coloured foil. The protective should first be removed
after
the works or the installation. The ends are protected
against dirt with a transport tape, or they are already
sealed with an aluminium tape in our factory (surcharge). |

|
PC panels can
easily be worked with normal normal
tools such as a fine toothed saw providing that they
are
sharp. Shwarf and other debris must be removed via
oil and water free pressurized air. Drilling can be
made with a sharp steel or diamond tiped drill. Please
note to compensate for expansion the drill hole must
be 50 % larger than the screw used. |
| Expansion
and contraction |
Sealants
|

The
expansion factor for PC is 0,065 mm per °C and per m
and is therefore 3 x higher than for aluminium.
Rule of thumb : expansion is 3 mm per m at 50 oC temperature
difference.
According to the temperature, the length
and width of multi-wallsheets and panels can change.
The panel coupling absorbs the change in width. The
change in length of the panels must be considered in
the
construction planning.
The expansion in length and width of multi-wall-sheets
must be constructionally considered in the profiles.
We has the appropriate accessories. |

Sealants and
gaskets must be PC compatible, as otherwise damage to
the panel can occur. When using silicone, attention
must be paid that it is absolutely neutral and solvent-free. |

| Closing
the ends to protect against dirt |
Postojanost na kemikalije: |
The ends of our PC panels and multi-wall-sheets should
be sealed before
mounting, right after opening the package.
Alu tape (steam- and dusttight) any other compatible
material should be used to avoid dirt or other matter
from entering into the chambers of the panels.
It is optimal to have the panels sealed at our factory
(surcharge). The condensation, which might appear due
to the weather/climate, is only temporary and does not
damage the panel or harm the insulation value.
If no dirt can enter into the chambers, there will not
occur any algae.
Using a non-steam diffusion-resistant or non-water-tight
tape, steam water might disappear out of the chambers
more quickly, but therefore dust and diesel soot might
enter into the chambers. Each element should be taped
separately. |

The minimum
radius for our multi-wall-sheets is sheet thickness
in mm x ? 150 (depends on the geometry). Bending is
only allowed lengthwise. Smaller radii can cause damage
as well as stress cracks. In order to realize smaller
radii, thermal forming is possible.
The minimum radius for our panels is 200 x the thickness. |
| Storage
/ transport: |
|
|
| PC-panels
should be stored protected from direct sun and rain.
Panels with protective film can be affected by the elements,
causing the foil to stick and making it difficult to
remove. Do not store panels in stacks higher than 150
cm. |

| Condensation |
PC is
not a steam diffusion-resistant material.
Therefore, condensation can occur, which means no lack
of quality. Due to the weather/climate, this is only
temporary and does not damage the panel or harm the
insulation value. |

Development of algae |
Safety |
Algae occur only in contact with dirt and moisture.
Also to get plates with Hollow chambers writes on the
side during tranport and storage |
Due to the
regional building condition statues, respectively the
general safety condition
statues for non-supporting roofs, a plank of 50 cm width
must be used when walking on it.

Generally speaking, PC can be classified as „resistant
to structural damage from soft body impact load",
provided that suitable profiles and underconstruction
are used. |
